How Long a Quote Takes
Most guests who get a quote from us hear back within 24 hours on weekdays, sometimes sooner during the quieter months. A quote for a straightforward single-destination trip is usually the fastest to put together, while a multi-country itinerary spanning Kenya and Tanzania, or one that needs several lodges cross-checked for availability on specific dates, can take a little longer. If you are travelling during the July-to-October migration season or the December holidays, it helps to get a quote and confirm early, since the camps we favour sell out months ahead for those windows.
After You Get a Quote
Receiving a quote does not commit you to anything. We expect most guests to ask for at least one round of changes — swapping a lodge, adding a day, adjusting the route — and we are happy to revise the itinerary as many times as it takes. Once you are happy with the plan, a deposit of around 30% secures your dates; the balance is due roughly four weeks before departure. Group and Family Quotes
Families and larger groups can get a quote that accounts for mixed ages and interests in one itinerary — a slower pace with shorter drives for younger children, or a private vehicle per family so nobody feels rushed between sightings. Group quotes typically work out cheaper per person once you are above four or five travellers sharing vehicles and guides, so mention your group size early and we will price it both ways for comparison.
Solo travellers and couples get a quote just as easily; we simply pair you with a shared vehicle and a small group of similarly-paced travellers where that suits the itinerary, or price a private vehicle if you would rather not share. Either way, the quote you receive will say clearly which option it assumes, so there is no ambiguity about what you are booking.
